The 9mm SMG was originally designed for tactical operators seeking an ultra-compact and controllable submachine gun for close quarter combat and room clearing. The advantage of this design is that all control systems and breakdown features are virtually identical to the M16/M4 family of weapons thus minimizing the need for familiarity training for tactical operators on multiple weapon platforms where split second delays in dynamic combat situations could mean life or death. Also, the low felt recoil of the 9mm ammo means that the operator can shoot very accurately grouped full auto bursts which helps to minimize the potential of harm to a hostage that might be in close proximity with the criminal target. This model with its authentic A1 upper receiver configuration was extensively fielded with the DEA and other federal agencies.
The AEX 9mm SMG is a limited production AEG made exclusively for us by G&P. Our pre-production model fired 330fps at 600 rounds per minute and only drew 15 amps.
