Operation Lion Claws 3, produced by Best of USA Marketing, is the premier and one of the largest airsoft sporting events in the country. Over 300 airsoft enthusiasts from around the country come together in California over Memorial Day weekend to participate in 2 days of modern military simulation, teamwork, and camaraderie. Alpha Company goes head to head against Bravo Company to achieve objectives in various scenarios in intense day and night combat. All the while, the Shadow Company’s elite guerrillas work to hamper or sabotage their efforts. Allegiances are formed and broken. Combat vehicles and heavy weapons such as mortars, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers are deployed. Who will prevail?

 

Featured participants are:

Alpha Company Commander – A combat veteran, Col(ret) Danny McKnight is the former Commander 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and was the commander of Task Force Ranger during the famous Somalia incident as portrayed in Black Hawk Down (his role was played by Tom Sizemore in the movie).

Bravo Company Commander - MSgt(ret) Howard “Mad Max” Mullen is a 20+ year Army veteran with combat experience in Panama and Grenada and a former Ranger instructor that has served with all 3 Ranger battalions the and Regimental HQ. A hand-to-hand combat expert, he co-authored the US Army Combatives Manual.

Shadow Company Commander – Sgt(ret) Kenn Miller is a Vietnam War veteran who served several combat tours as an elite LRRP (long range recon patrol) with 101st Airborne, the precursor to our current Ranger Regiments. He is also the author of Six Silent Men (book Two), a book of his combat experiences in Vietnam, and a well-known novel, Tiger the LURP Dog.
