This event was a blast and we had almost 40 participants for the very first one. All the players and staff had a great time and there were many reasons to cheer as the action was very exciting to watch. We have a small highlight video up (check above) and will have many more videos popping up over the next couple weeks. Keep an eye out for the next Pistol Challenge as we hope to continue hosting these events. Save Hopupville!!
The notorious arch criminal Le Cirque has escaped from federal prison and is on the loose! He has gathered his evil henchmen, Fat Head and Skinny Head, to unleash his nefarious plans upon the unsuspecting city of Hopupville. To make things worse, they have activated their legions of Torso attack robots to aid in their illegal undertakings! |

Event Description:
As experienced real steel competitive shooters, BAM Airsoft has teamed up with AEX to bring you a fun and challenging Airsoft pistol competition based on highly realistic IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) competitions. This style of competition stresses all the important skills of pistol shooting: accuracy, speed, and consistency. It will be all about the person pulling the trigger, not the gun itself.
This event will be held in the building next to AEX Santa Clara in the old Wintersports location on Saturday, May 2nd. From 11 AM to 1 PM, you will have the opportunity to practice each of the three stages of the competition. From 1 PM on, the competition will begin! |
There will be three divisions:
Class A: ages 12 and under
Class B: ages 13 to 17
Class C: ages 18 and over
If there are less than 15 competitors per division, the division will be not be offered as a competition class.
Equipment is basic: you need one gas blowback (must be blowback!) 6mm or 8mm Airsoft pistol, one spare magazine, eye protection, and your own gas propellant. You may bring as many magazines as you like but caution: misses will deduct from your score. You may choose to bring holsters and magazine carriers, but as you can see from the stage descriptions, they are not necessary.
The actual setups for the stages are posted here so there are no surprises. In fact, you are encouraged to set up the stages in your own home beforehand to practice. Once the competition starts, the time pressure and adrenaline rush will make the event a unique experience.
As an additional enticement, AEX will be offering prizes to the top three competitors in each class in the form of gift certificates.
All the stages are setup as follows:

First place, division: $100
Second place, division: $75
Third place, division: $50
Fastest shooter for each stage: $50
Every competitor will get a 10% off coupon towards their next visit to any AEX Store.
The entry fee is $15 per person pre-registered and pre-paid. Entrants the day of the event will be $20 per person. You may register in store at any AEX or email us at aexsc@airsoftextreme.com. Please be sure to include your name, age, phone number, and email address. You may pay in store, or by credit card and paypal over the phone.
There will be a spectator loft so bring your cheering section! Welcome, to the first Airsoft Pistol Challenge, sponsored by AEX and BAM Airsoft! Many will try to stop Le Cirque, but only few will prevail! Will YOU be the one? |
