Flashback Friday: Western Arms Strayer-Voigt Infinity 2011 (6")

Hello airsofters of all ages, especially those whose knees snap, crackle, and pop when you kneel behind cover! Welcome back to another walk down memory lane with Airsoft Extreme's Flashback Friday.

Spotlight: Western Arms Strayer-Voigt Infinity 2011 (6")

For newer players, your first introduction to a 2011-style pistol may have been Tokyo Marui, KJW, or WE Tech. But before them, there was Western Arms. Today, we’re featuring the Western Arms Strayer-Voigt (SV) Infinity 2011 with a 6" barrel.

This replica is 98% stock, with just three upgrades:

  • Guarder tightbore barrel
  • Guarder 150% recoil spring
  • Guarder 150% hammer spring

Everything else remains stock Western Arms: slide, frame, grip, spring guide, hop-up, outer barrel, and bucking.

Magazine Considerations

One important note: do not drop these magazines. The feed lips are part of the body mold, and if they break, the magazine becomes an expensive paperweight.

Performance

During chrono testing using green gas and 0.20g Airsoft Extreme BBs, the gun shoots between 311–328 FPS. Recoil remains crisp, and with the heavier 150% recoil spring, the slide returns to battery quickly for fast follow-up shots.

Because of the fixed hop-up, we recommend using BBs no heavier than 0.25g. Our sweet spot: 0.23g Airsoft Extreme BBs — not too heavy, not too light.

We hope you enjoyed another walk (or hobble!) down memory lane. Thank you for joining us for another installment of Airsoft Extreme's Flashback Friday. Good day, good afternoon, or good night — see you again soon!
