In this quick guide, Airsoft Extreme walks you through installing the PTS Griffin R22 Modular Suppressor Taper Mount Kit. Learn what’s included, how to install each component, and how to quickly switch between suppressed and unsuppressed setups.
PTS Griffin R22 Modular Suppressor Installation Guide
Hello again from the dark dungeon of Airsoft Extreme’s inventory warehouse! Today, we’ll be showing you how to install the PTS Griffin R22 Modular Suppressor Taper Mount Kit (non-tracer) onto your replica.
What’s Included
Before we get started, here’s what comes in the kit: (See Picture 1 & Picture 2)
- PTS Griffin taper flash suppressor
- PTS Griffin taper mount blast shield extension
- PTS Griffin Resistance 22 (R22) suppressor
⚠️ NOTE: You will need to remove your stock flash hider. Doing so may void your manufacturer warranty.
Step 1: Install the Taper Flash Suppressor
Start by removing your stock flash hider from your replica. Then install the included PTS Griffin taper flash suppressor. (See Picture 3)
Step 2: Prep the Components
Next, remove the thread protector from the taper mount blast shield extension and remove the end cap from the R22 suppressor. (See Picture 4 & Picture 5)
Step 3: Assemble the Suppressor
Thread the taper mount blast shield extension onto the R22 suppressor. (See Picture 6)
Step 4: Mount to Your Replica
Finally, attach the assembled suppressor unit onto the taper flash suppressor installed on your replica. (See Picture 7)
That’s it—you can now run your replica suppressed or unsuppressed without dealing with complicated locking systems, lugs, or levers. As Negan from The Walking Dead would say… “Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.”
