Rather than relying on an oversized contact patch, 4UAD developed the Friction Pro around a carefully contoured single-point design intended to keep the BB centered as hop is applied, helping reduce inconsistencies from shot to shot.
The specially shaped contact surface generates enough friction to effectively lift heavier BBs while keeping the actual contact area to a minimum. This allows the Friction Pro to handle BB weights up to 0.48g while maintaining a centered axis of spin. When properly installed and tuned, the result is a flatter, more predictable trajectory and tighter consistency at range, making this a particularly useful upgrade for GBB rifles and pistols running heavier ammunition.
