How to Install a Red Dot on a VFC Umarex Glock 17 Gen5

Hello, and welcome back to another Airsoft Extreme tutorial!
Today, we'll be showing you how to install a red dot optic on your Umarex Glock 17 Gen5 by VFC. (See Picture 1)
Adding a red dot is a simple way to customize your airsoft pistol while giving you a fast and easy-to-acquire sighting system.
Step 1: Disassemble Your Glock
Before getting started, you'll need to disassemble your Glock.
Remove the magazine and make sure the replica is unloaded and clear. You can then set the magazine, lower, and upper internal components aside, as we'll only be working with the slide for the first part of this installation. (See Picture 2)
Step 2: Remove the Rear Screw
Flip the slide over and locate the rear screw at the back of the slide.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, carefully remove the screw. (See Picture 3)
Step 3: Install the Optic Plate
With the screw removed, slide the optic mounting plate into the rear sight slot.
Use the screw provided with the optic plate to secure it to the slide. You'll need a 1.5mm Allen driver to tighten the screw. (See Picture 4)
Make sure the plate is properly seated and secure before moving on to the next step.
Step 4: Install Your Red Dot
Once the optic plate is securely mounted to the slide, you can install your red dot optic onto the plate. (See Picture 5)
Follow the mounting instructions provided with your specific optic to ensure it is properly secured to the plate.
Step 5: Reassemble Your Glock
With the optic installed, reinstall the upper components into the slide and reassemble the slide onto the lower frame. (See Picture 6)
That's it—your Umarex VFC Glock 17 Gen5 is now ready to run a red dot.
