Unicorn Airsoft GBB Gas Valve Key Guide
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening, everyone! Thank you for joining us from wherever in the world you may be.
If you're a gas blowback airsoft user, chances are you've collected plenty of gear, accessories, magazines, and spare parts for your replicas over the years.
One thing that's easy to overlook, however, is having the right basic tools on hand.
Today, we're taking a quick look at the Unicorn Airsoft Gas Valve Key—a small but useful tool for servicing your GBB magazines. (See Picture 1)
What Is a Gas Valve Key Used For?
The Unicorn Gas Valve Key is designed to help tighten and remove the valves found on gas blowback magazines.
The tool features two different ends, each designed for a different valve on your magazine.
Large End: Gas Output Valve
The larger end of the tool is designed for the magazine's gas release/output valve.
It can be used to carefully tighten the valve or completely remove it when servicing your GBB magazine. (See Picture 2 & Picture 3)
Small End: Gas Fill Valve
The smaller end is designed for the magazine's gas inlet/fill valve.
Just like the larger end, it can be used to tighten or remove the valve when performing basic magazine maintenance. (See Picture 4 & Picture 5)
Important Fitment Note
NOTE: We've found that the smaller end of the Unicorn valve key may not fit every gas fill valve.
Some manufacturers use narrower valve grooves, and the Unicorn tool may be slightly too thick to properly engage them. Because valve designs can vary between manufacturers and magazines, we recommend checking compatibility before purchasing if you have a specific application in mind.
