Upgrade your Umarex Glock with the Unicorn TDC Hop-Up and Barrel Set. Using a Glock 45, the Airsoft Extreme team walks through the installation process and explains the new TDC hop-up adjustment method.
Unicorn TDC Hop-Up & Barrel Set Installation for Glock 19 Gen5, 19X & G45
Hello, and welcome back to another Airsoft Extreme Tips & Tricks!
Today, we'll be showing you how to install a new product from Unicorn Airsoft: the Unicorn TDC Hop-Up & Barrel Set for the Umarex Glock 19 Gen5, Glock 19X, and Glock 45.
For our demonstration, we'll be installing the kit into an Umarex Glock 45. (See Picture 1)
Step 1: Remove the Slide
Before getting started, remove the magazine and make sure your airsoft pistol is unloaded and clear.
Remove the slide from the lower frame and set the frame aside. (See Picture 2)
Step 2: Remove the Barrel Assembly
With the slide removed, take out the guide rod, front bushing, and outer barrel assembly from the slide. (See Picture 3 & Picture 4)
Step 3: Remove the Stock Hop-Up & Inner Barrel
Now that the outer barrel assembly is removed from the slide, you can remove the stock hop-up unit and inner barrel from the outer barrel. (See Picture 5)
Step 4: Install the Unicorn TDC Hop-Up & Barrel Set
With the stock hop-up and inner barrel removed, install the Unicorn TDC Hop-Up & Barrel Set into the outer barrel. (See Picture 6)
IMPORTANT: The Unicorn TDC hop-up changes the way you'll adjust your hop-up.
With the stock setup, the hop-up can be adjusted using an Allen wrench through the guide rod area. Once the Unicorn TDC unit is installed, you'll instead use a flat-head screwdriver to make your hop-up adjustments.
Step 5: Reassemble Your Glock
Once the Unicorn hop-up and barrel assembly is properly seated, reinstall the outer barrel assembly, front bushing, and guide rod into the slide.
Reinstall the slide onto the lower frame, and you're ready to dial in your hop-up and hit the field. (See Picture 7 & Picture 8)
