How to Install a Stock on Your AAP-01 (Step-by-Step Guide)

Want to upgrade your AAP-01 with a stock? This step-by-step guide from Airsoft Extreme walks you through the full installation process, including required tools, disassembly, and proper reassembly.
AAP-01 Stock Installation Guide
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening to our fellow airsofters across all time zones! In today’s guide, we’ll be walking you through how to install a stock onto your AAP-01. (See Picture 1 & Picture 2)
Tools You’ll Need
Before getting started, make sure you have the following tools ready: (See Picture 3)
- Mallet
- Small punch
- 2mm Allen driver
Step 1: Remove the Hammer Housing Pin
Using your small punch and mallet, remove the hammer housing pin. Important: This pin must be driven out from left to right. The right side of the pin is shaped to only come out in one direction. (See Picture 4 & Picture 5)
Step 2: Remove the Rear Sight
Next, use your 2mm Allen driver to remove the two screws holding the rear sight in place.
Be sure not to misplace these screws—you’ll need them later for reinstallation. (See Picture 6, Picture 7, Picture 8 & Picture 9)
Step 3: Prepare the Stock
Move over to your stock and remove the lower cross bolt using the 2mm Allen driver. Important: Do not lose the nut on the opposite side of the stock. (See Picture 10 & Picture 11)
Next, remove the top screw from the stock using the same 2mm Allen driver. (See Picture 12)
Step 4: Install the Stock
Align the mounting hole on the stock with the hammer housing pin hole on your AAP-01. (See Picture 13)
Once aligned, insert the provided screw through the stock and secure it using the nut on the opposite side. Tighten it using your 2mm Allen driver. (See Picture 14)
Step 5: Reinstall the Top Rail
Finally, reinstall the top rail onto the upper receiver of your AAP-01. Use the two original screws from the rear sight along with the screw from the stock to secure everything in place. (See Picture 15 & Picture 16)
